Early this year (in January) our company released an open source trouble ticket system called [SimpleTicket][1]. We wrote it for internal use. The idea was to create a simple to use ticketing system that did LESS. Fewer features, fewer things to understand. Just a simple ticketing system that did not integrate with anything. We built it using Ruby on Rails - a novice programmer built it and the code is ugly (evidently it is pretty hard to screw up using rails, but our guy managed make it messy). We have been slowly fixing it and have a working version running in our business ([Architel][2]). The SimpleTicket project manager is swamped with other projects. Our primary Ruby developer (he did not write SimpleTicket) is busy on another one of our projects (Big in Japan). An outsourced ruby programmer we hired is in the hospital and we are falling behind. We are looking for someone who can clean-up the code and (using the attached wireframes) get SimpleTicket to the place it ought to be.
We think that our project should take less than two weeks of coding - perhaps over a four week period of time. We need someone who is familiar with [Ruby on Rails][3], XML, CSS an xhtml. Visit <[login to view URL]> for more information about the project. The wireframes are attached in AI and PDF files. You can also see them on the [SimpleTicket blog][4].
