Location Information Manager for Non-Profit Site - RUSH!

S2S City Manager This tool will allow for the "almost-dynamic" generation of the city-specific information pages on a client's website. To keep performance at a maximum, the pages are to be generated as plain HTML documents with server-side include tags (this keeps the database from causing slowdowns during high-traffic times). The client will be able to login through a secure interface to create/edit/delete/disable individual cities from the website. By creating a new city, the client will create a new entry in the database and will be presented a form with all of the fields for entry (this can be a big ugly form or split into separate forms, we're not too picky about the admin interface). A few fields will have multiple entries for each city (such as the events in the Health Fair Program Page, see below), but most will simply be a single entry. For the larger information fields, would love to be able to use a WYSIWYG editor to edit HTML (such as the tool included with MamboServer) but this is not required (those fields must support HTML though). Once all information is entered, the client must save and publish the information (thereby saving the data and publishing the city to the site). This does two things: creates the city pages (pulls from template files, replaces tokens and writes files to site with appropriate names, such as [login to view URL], etc.) and updates the city navigation bar include file (a file that contains names of the active cities with links to the cities' main pages). The client needs the option to disable a city (unpublish, but keep in database). The following scripts and forms must be built: - admin login form: username and password of admin to gain access to admin area (will do this with plain authentication for now) - city manager form: lists existing cities, allows edit/delete of content and setting city active/inactive (shows/hides from city list), allows addition of new city - add/edit form: has empty fields (some info prefilled with default data) for creating new city, or prefilled fields for editing, plus submit/cancel buttons - main script: handles all processing of above functions (edit, add, delete, create/update html docs for city info, update city list include file) Main Database Fields (this is for the list of cities, auto-generated html include file) - (id, city_name, city_active) Main Page Fields - - Thank You Text (city_main_text) - Location (venue_name, venue_address, venue_city, venue_state, venue_zip, venue_phone, venue_website - Times (event_start, event_finish) - Transportation Info (optional, text) - Co-Chairs (multiple: co_chair_name, co_chair_title) - Local Contact Info (local_contact_name, local_contact_phone, local_contact_email) Health Fair Program Page Fields - - (multiple: event_time, event_name, event_location, event_sponsor, event_description) Exhibitors Page Fields - - (exhibitors_main_text, exhibitors_contact_name, exhibitors_contact_phone, exhibitors_contact_email, exhibitors_package_exists) Sponsorship Page Fields - - (sponsorship_main_text, sponsorship_benefits_package_exists, sponsorship_contact_name, sponsorship_contact_phone, sponsorship_contact_email) - Local Sponsors (multiple: sponsor_name, sponsor_url, sponsor_image_name) Media Page Fields - - (media_main_text, media_contact_name, media_contact_phone, media_contact_email) Pre-Registration Form Page Fields - - (registration_recipient_email_list) Note: Need to start on this ASAP.
