Android Information Application

Template for client based information system. Content for application to be added by myself. Development of Android system (iOS in the future) that can be customised to display information on specific subjects (e.g. Educational Institutes). Android version 2 and up to be supported. Application and all content will be included in distribution - only external links (into browser) is not included. All content loading from internal resources included in distribution file. Configuration for each page to be stored in config files in distribution page and loaded at runtime as required. Application to feature two level menu system - top level menu to consist of a page per menu option, allowing user to swipe left/right to move between page options. Second level menu to allow swipe left/right to move between information pages, with added option to return to main menu. Top Level Menu pages to consist of background image, header label, short HTML text section, and 1-5 buttons linking to lower menu(s). Two types of lower level menu required; Header and scrollable image; or page to contain header, a Text area displaying HTML. Also an icon that brings up a more traditional menu to return to higher level menu and or other lower level menu pages - customizable per page. Custom links from text area linking to any other lower menu and lower level menu page or to external internet based page. (Note that detailed required for links to be included in configuration but hidden when displayed) Backgrounds for main menu to be stored as images in the distribution file. All html text boxes in lower menu must be able to load images stored local in distribution file, all html text to be stored in local distribution file. Must in some way allow hyper links to be external (open in browser) or to link to other internal pages. Application to be designed to scale screen correctly for phone and tablet. Both screen swipe and key controlled is required. Final application may be advert driven, or pay for download. Stub for adding required links for advertising to be provided but not developed. Additional Resources provided: Basic sample project will be provided for testing purposes. (Sample data currently being defined) Deliverables: All source code to be supplied, overview in document form of all classes created to be included. Process to define menu structures, and add text/images to application to be documented and suplied with source code. Note that creation of content, final compilation of project and distribution is not part of the project.
