Good morning,
I'm excited to write this proposal for content migration to Canvas LMS. I have had broad experience working with Canvas, most recently supporting Penn State University in migrating hundreds of courses from source documentation to Canvas during the remote teaching period beginning March 2020. I pride myself on my attention to detail, and my knack for laying out content in a meaningful and accessible manner. I have over 6 years' experience working with Canvas and am intimately familiar with its features, integrations, and settings.
In addition to creating courses in Canvas, I often train faculty and course facilitators in best practices for teaching with Canvas. I can provide facilitation and usability documentation upon request. My approach to building courses includes laying out an intuitive path for learners to interact with course content contextually, building lessons and quizzes into modules, and establishing pre-requisites as needed. Depending on the learner type, lessons can also include checkpoints, pacing guides, and self-checks. At the completion of course builds and migrations, I run each course through a comprehensive QA checklist that includes grammar, spelling, and conventions, as well as usability, content visibility, and accessibility.
I would be thrilled to bring my expertise to this project and look forward to the opportunity to do so. As I understand the request, the project is per course and my bid includes a 2 day turnaround per course.
