Rental Booking System

- The applicant must have strong knowledge and experience in PHP, XML, html, css and web programming. - Prior experience with a similar type project advantageous. - Excellent communication skills, high availability and responsiveness. I am looking for the right applicant to build a rental booking system. I currently work with two different suppliers. Each supplier offers an XML feed into their system and displays products from approx 5 different rental companies. Website Features and Work Flow: Quote Request Form on homepage – Form will consist of: Location: Autocomplete function. Some customers will enter the full location name, other customers will enter a three letter acronym which represents location. Date: Once clicked, opens a small calendar to allow customer to select date. Time: Drop down box Age: If below a certain age different results will be displayed The search results will display approx. 15 products. Each product will have approx. 5 different companies displaying their rates. Each company offers two / three packages. The search results will show: • Image representing item • Information relating to item • Display price from various suppliers (usually two prices for each supplier) (please see attached image for an example) The customer should then be able to book the product. The following information should then be captured during the booking process: Name, Age, Address, E-mail Address, Telephone Number. The customer also has the option to add additional extras which should adjust the quote accordingly. The customer should then be directed to the payment page. The customer will be given the option of paying 10% or full balance. (if its within 8 weeks, the full amount is due). The system should be able to detect if the customer is paying with a debit or credit card (additional 2% fee if paying with credit card). Once completed the system should generate and send a booking confirmation email. The system should then send a balance request 8 weeks prior to start date with a link through to a payment page. Once full payment has been obtained, the system should generate and email a rental voucher. Back Office System I need to be able to adjust commission % for each supplier and for each category of product. I should receive a notification once a booking is made showing nett, gross price and profit. View reports such as number of bookings & profit over a customisable duration. Searchable database so I can search for customers, check amounts paid and outstanding amounts. The function to amend customers email address and resend booking confirmation and rental voucher.
