Hello,
My name is Mario and I have over 10 years of experience in the field of laser scanning and photogrammetry as well as a MSc degree in Geodesy and Geomatics.
Photogrammetry processing, among other things, is something that I do on a daily basis in my work. I am very interested in your project, however, I just need some extra information to complete the job properly:
- I assume that you want the best possible resolution of the orthophoto.
- In which coordinate system should the end result be?
- Details on the equipment: drone/camera/lens/do photos have geotags? ( I could advise you on how to calculate the flight plan parameters in order to achieve the desired spatial resolution of the orthophoto for future projects).
During the last two years, I completed a lot of photogrammetry projects in Serbia, including the large-scale project of powerline mapping and modeling using lidar and photogrammetry. The system that was used is Riegl VP-1, that includes a laser scanner and 3 photo cameras (1 nadir, 2 obliques). Other than 3D models of power lines, towers, terrain, etc. I created true orthophotos that cover the corridor area that is 200 m wide and over 150 km long (that's over 30 square kilometers or 11.58 square miles, covered with more than 15 000 photos).
Usually, the price for this kind of job is set by surface area (e.g $/acre).
I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon and discussing further details.
Best regards,
Mario
