Dear Project Manager, First let me start by saying that this is an interesting project. I believe with over 17 years of embedded hardware and firmware experience, I would be an excellent addition to your project. Without knowing the exact application, it is difficult to pick the ideal solution for your project. A magnetic is switch is definitely a viable option. I would propose a motion activated switch. When the block is moved, the LED would turn on. After a period of time the LED would then turn off (given this is conducive to your application). Do you have an exact form factor (dimensions) for this design? How long does the battery have to last? I look forward to discussing your requirements in further detail. Regards, Jeff

I am an electrical engineer specializing in power systems and controls SCADA etc. I have a circuit in mind, that may do the job I have used as a novilty and school demo. But only with one LED may be able to power more, and never tried it in a plastic brick. but if that worked it would be brilliant. I need to know how you propose to supply power to the block and how many LEDs in each block.

Hello! I have not explicit idea for your requirement for getting LED ON/OFF. But I have a lot of ideas as I am electrical Engineering student. Ideas: 1) you can get LED on or off, when a phone call comes, that you use the voltage of your phone line, that will also help you to indicate some telephone usage. 2) when there is some light outside and when there is not, means you are using some light sensors. and many more ideas can be linked but please discuss it for that matter. please reply me if you want to interview me. regards, Saba Arshad
