CENARIO :
We are producing a documentary series that should make viewers want to come and visit this place!
This episode will be 26 minutes long and therefore requires enough footage (as described in the Requirement 350-400 shots) but also offers a good diversity!
Our interests are Cultural Tourist Sites (Sacred Sites, Historical Sites, Cultural Sites, World Heritage Sites, Old quarters...) but also daily life, markets, old villages are always part of our episode. Of course, we are looking for authenticity and colors!
When you drive through a city, put yourself in the shoes of a tourist who marvels at this visit. When filming in a city, it is important to show some known points of that city or any distinctive element that is very representative of the city such as :
- Toompea Castle
- Alexander Nevsky Cathedral
- Tallinn Town Hall
- St. Nicholas' Church and Museum
- Kohtuotsa viewing platform
- St. Catherine's Passage
- Kadriorg Art Museum
- St Mary's Cathedral
- Hellemann Tower and Town Wall Walkway
- Viru Gate
- The Old city
But also a little further on some views of Pirita Convent Ruins
We only need a few Videos from each location (10 to 15 per place will be enough)!
On some places you can film more if necessary!
Details to be filmed:
The external part of the Square must be represented (front, sides, back planes etc...). Do not forget details such as the Entrance, Portal, Porch, Doors, Handle of the big door, Columns, Windows, Alcove, Ceilings, Wall Mosaics, Floor Mosaics, Floors, Voutes, Arcades, Stained Glass, Corridors, Chandeliers, Paintings and any other element that has a history (authenticity!). Every detail, every one is important!
You must share your feelings with your camera.
What you are going to film must show the beauty of the site from all angles and must be in a cinematic style!
IMPORTANT :
All camera movements must be extremely fluid and slow!
TAKE YOUR TIME!
In 4K, even small movements seem shocking, so a picture with movement must be as slow and fluid as possible!
Here is an example of what we are looking for as a shooting style to show speed and fluidity:

PUBLIC :
It is better not to show people who visit, but especially to avoid people who film, who get selfies, who flash, in short avoid the public as much as possible! NEVER film people looking at the camera (turn the scene upside down!)
USE OF CAMERAS :
Tripod = 70% of the camera
- Static
- Panoramic
- Tilts shots
Drone = 20%
- View of the mosque 180 degrees from the sea with the city in the background
- Views of the nearby Minaret!
- Views from far away which arrives towards the Mosque!
All the shots must be of type "Cinematic".
Gimbal = 10%
To use only when you are walking and with very very smooth use!
In addition to a good gimbal, you need a good "wide" lens (no fish eye!) for a better smoothness!
