Have you any more details on the functionality required and the micros to be used? I have experience developing with MIcrochip, Freescale and NXP micro-processor/controllers, but the target device is important for the budget as there is not always free versions of the compiler suites available for all devices (assuming that you would prefer C to assembly).

Would you really trust a developer to design a piece of software that your product relies on to operate for $250? Assuming you are truly wanting development done in C and that wasn't a typo intending to mean C#, you have to consider that most C programmers have been developing for 25+ years and wouldn't walk to the bathroom for $250. This sounds like a crucial piece of software. I would think you would place more importance on it than seeking out a 3rd rate programmer from a 3rd world country. Just saying .... Rick

I have experience in controlling temperature sensing ICs using MCU via SPI and to log the data. The controller I've used is dsPIC33EP series.
