What a great project! After looking at your school's website, I can understand why you are so proud of it. I'm a graduate of a Catholic school, myself. It was a parish school, very small, and is closed now. But St. Bernard's sounds as if it is vibrant and destined to be around for a long time.
All work would need to be done remotely because I'm in Pittsburgh, PA. But I don't see why I couldn't conduct the interviews and get all the background information "long distance."
I'll be honest: I haven't written any books, but I'm working on a memoir of my mother. My background is in marketing communications -- a 40-year career in writing and managing writers in ad agencies and on the corporate side. I write clearly, succinctly and in a manner that's inviting to read. I'm also a native English speaker, and my grammar and punctuation skills are excellent -- thanks to that Catholic school education!
I also have a keen interest in history. I have always wanted to write a "history of something." And I believe I could provide you with a manuscript that brings St. Bernard's to life and is a tribute to its students, teachers and alumni.
One additional word on timing: I've said 45 days without knowing the number of interviews, availability of interviewees, etc. So this should be considered directional only. But I work quickly, and I'm retired now and have the time to devote exclusively to this project.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
