It is possible to configure your provider in asterisk and then you use a softphone to connect to asterisk and place the call. Asterisk will set the callerid and then send it to your provider. It is possible to do. You should check if your provider allow to pass the callerid. It is possible that we set the callerid you want and send the call to your provider and the provider will change the callerid.
