Hello :)
I write here again what I wrote in the other project .
There are at least two ways to migrate virtual machines .
One option is to export the virtual machines OVF . Once exported , convert VHD files VHDX files and create new virtual machines using those disks . ( This method has its drawbacks , but it can work ) .
The second option is to create a virtual machine on the new server. Install windows server 2012 r2 (trial ) and system center virtual machine manager 2012 r2 . SCVMM can manage servers with vmware and xenserver and convert virtual machines from different platforms. Once we complete the migration , we can eliminate this virtual machine .
If you migrate to HyperV , I highly suggest you Migres to HyperV 2012 R2 . The performance is much better than in windows server 2008 r2 . I noticed that OVH already offers "Windows HyperV Server 2012 " operating system.
I love to help , so think and tell me .
