We would like to have a returns plugin created for a existing program we currently use. The plugin should allow the user to create a return, edit a previously created return and receive a return. Attached to this project is a copy of the database we use with a few sample orders in it, a copy of the latest version of our program along with a copy of a sample plugin for you to use to create the plugin for the program. ## Deliverables The plugin you are being asked to create has three different requirements (Issuing returns, editing returns and receiving returns) Issuing returns: The plugin should allow the user to create a return by selecting the reason for the return (rma_type), status of the return (rma_status, this should default to Issued rma_status_id 30) and comments about the return (rma_comments). Return reasons are found in the rma_types table and statuses are found in the rma_status table. Creating a return should also set the date the rma was created (rma_date_creted). Editing returns: The plugin should allow the user to edit the return. The RMA type, status and comments should all be editable. RMA information should be stored in the rma table. The fields in this table are Receiving returns: The plugin should allow the user to receive a return. Receiving a return should allow the user to edit the RMA type, status and comments (when receiving a return the RMA status should default to Received (rma_status_id 31). All products for the order should be displayed. The user should be able to select which products where returned, the quantity returned and assign a status for each item returned (see inventory_status table). The user needs to be able to passing the status each product returned (i.e. if one used and one new item with the same part number are returned the user needs to be able to specify 1 is new and 1 used). The form should not allow the user to return more of a product than what was ordered. When the user completes the return the information about the products returned needs to be saved to the credits_products table. Each product returned should have its own line in the credit_products table. If you have the same item returned with two different statuses (example 1 used and 1 new you would make two entries in the table, one for the used item and one for the new item). Other information: All three functions should include basic order information on the screen so the user can identify the order. (orders_id, orders_source, orders_source_id and date_imported from the orders table). It should be possible to do everything on one form but you can use two forms if needed. The forms should have ok buttons to close the form and save changes to the database and a cancel button that closes the form without saving any information. It is expected that you do basic error checking on the forms (example the user should not be able to enter a letter in a field that only takes numbers). rma table: rma_id (autonumber) orders_id (this is the orders_id for the order that the rma was created for) rma_type_id (this is the id of the rma_type_id for the RMA type selected, see rma_typle table) rma_status_id (this is the rma_status_id for RMA's status, see rma_status table) rma_comments (comments entered with the RMA) rma_date_created (the date and time the RMA was created. This should be set when the RMA is created). rma_date_updated (this is the last time the RMA was updated with new information, creating, editing or receiving a rma should set this date to the current date and time) credits_products table: credits_products_id (autonumber) rma_id (rma_id of the rma used to create the credit) products_part_number (the part number of the product returned) products__quantity (the quantity returned) products__price (the price of the product returned) inventory_status_id (the status of the product). Dates should be formatted as mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm AM/PM (example 6/17/2010 12:08 PM). The plugin provides access to the record that was visible in the main program when the plugin was called. You use this record set (gCurrentRecordset) to populate your form. If anything does not make sense feel free to ask questions.
