Configure Ubuntu server and HAProxy to act asachive a high performance load balancer We will provide a physical server installed with Ubuntu server 13.04 64bit, you will have to install HAPROXY and configure the OS and HAPROXY configure it as a high performance load-balancer using haproxy. 1. Use the latest haproxy stable version (1.4.23). 1.2. Nitial work will be dome on Ubuntu Server 13.04 virtual machine. 2. The server has x2 quad core Xeon. Optimize processes number, throughput etc. 3. Configure logging – minimal logging – errors and stats. 4. There are 2 different bindings, each with a different set of backend servers (different frontend IP address for each). Both are http, neither need https. 5. Some of the requests need to use dynamic compression (based on http headers). 6. Some of the requests need host change when passed to the backend servers. 7. Configure stats interface. 8. After the solution will go live, help us make optimization based on real life performance. 9. Help with setting a failover haproxy server on a different machine (Ubuntu Server 13.04 VM).After tests will be completed a different machine should be configured. It will be a real machine that has 2 quad core Xeon. Optimize processes number, throughput etc. while the virtual machine will be configured to become failover
