Create a custom Excel Spreadsheet

Hello, This is quite an interesting project. I believe the technical aspects are fairly simple (to me anyway). I think the bulk of the effort will need to be in making the sheets as user friendly as possible, robust and adaptable. I intend to send a first version that will have all the required features and will also be extremely usable, for review. After that I will incorporate any comments on usability and automation, and deliver the final version. Please note that I can think of a few automation features that could be added, but that greatly depends on who will use the sheets at the time of the event. Happy to discuss Regards R

Hello there - I am an Excel genius so this is nothing difficult. It will just take some organising to get the interface to be capable of handling N venues. I am a native English speaker so nothing will get lost in translation :) I kind of want to keep the data entry simple and on one page: one row per venue; ID number, Venue Name, Capacity flag, drop down for queue length, maximum capacity, current fill as recorded (absolute and %), new fill value to record (number not percentile) and button to commit the data to the data store. This could work better as a working table showing ID, Venue name, capacity flag, max cap, current recorded fill. Above this would be the data entry block where you would select venue from drop down, queue length from drop down and new fill value plus commit button. This would then store the data. As you add more venues it would add these to the working table on the page. The data would be behind the scenes for post-event reporting. I think I prefer this idea as it is more flexible. I'd wrapper it as an application so you can add new venues and their data etc... Anyways - hope that has given you some ideas. Would love to work on this for you. Hope to hear from you soon. /R.
