Accounting Software Project - VB.NET / SQL 2012 Required

We are looking for 1 VB.NET Developer to help maintain and add features to an Existing Accounting Software application required. This position REQUIRES an understanding of ACCOUNTING since we need to focus to be on development, not on Accounting education. Required Technology for a qualified developer: • SQL Server 2012 Business logic written in SQL Server 2012 Stored Procedures • Visual Studio 2012 • Dot Net Framework 4.5 • System is written in Asp Dot Net with VB Dot Net Code-Behind Pages. • System interacts with the database back-end through an XML-Based middle tier that handles the movement of data between the tiers and provides some services like security. • We have architecture documents that will help explain the processing along with videos that show adding tables to the system and fields to forms Tables: SettlementHeaderTable SettlementDetailTable BankAccounts LedgerChartOfAccounts Stored Procedures: Dbo or enterprise. proc. settlement Tasks to be performed First review the following specifications, calculations and examine the screens associated with this specification. Isolate a specific Settlement to use as a test case, make sure it’s entered correctly in all of the tables per the specifications and that there are also payments associated with the settlement Process the settlement in the Issue Settlement Checks Screen and ensure the process completes with no errors Ensure the process creates a “Settlement Summary Screen” per the specifications. Make sure the calculations have been performed correctly by verifying the calculations by hand. Add a “Print Settlement Summary” button to the summary screen, which will allow the printing of the summary for review. Continue to the check print function: Fix the MICR Font Issue on the check, or, change the font to a different OCR font Print the checks on Regular paper and make sure they align with the versa check Add a “Load Check Paper” confirmation button, Pressing this button allows the process to go to the next step. Here is the check as it prints now, note the detail section is not completed and the MICR Check number issue at the bottom: (SAMPLE) Once the check print function is tested with various cases and shown to be working, add the “Confirm Check Print” button which will post the check data to the system and produce a check register which will appear on the screen. The check register should also have a “Print Check Register” button on the bottom to allow it to be easily printed. Upon completion and verification of all of these steps, we may add or adjust the business logic. As you review the existing code or add new code, please be sure to use a lot of in-line commenting and explanation of the calculations so we can easily revisit this process in the future.
