Interesting project and very much doable. Few points that i would like to mention here are: 1. Data from FB and Twitter would be restricted to the keywords mentioned in the # tags of twitter and public posts in facebook by a set of FB pages that you would give us. (This is what these Social Media network's APO offers). Time duration has also to be mentioned. 2. Random forest, Naive Bayes, Support vector machine, and a Neural network can be performed on the data based on the sentiment analysis. But I'm not quite sure why you would be interested in these numerical classification techniques in the context of a sentence. So there has to be a quantitative conversion of sentiments into numerical values to do so. 3. Above step requires the following tasks, data scrapping, data cleaning, pre-processing the data (removing stop words and punctuations), data analysis, inference (Visualisation).

Some of this code already exist. It uses a stencil, to identify negative and positive words and phrases. e.g. NO is identified as NEGATIVE, but "WHY NOT" is identified as POSITIVE.. It uses a combinatorial dictionary of words. I would like to discuss more about the project, and I will show you an example classification in 2 days.
