Character Count for Powerpoint Files

we need a solution to count words inside .ppt and .pptx files. It has to run on a server with a Ubuntu linux distribution. * Return number of characters in given Microsoft Powerpoint document (including spaces) * Support for .ppt and .pptx files * To be runned from the command line on the Ubuntu linux distribution * Return a zero exit status if character count was successful * Return a non-zero exit status if character count was not successful
