Bid/RFP Database Analysis Tool

I am looking for a way to analyze and review bid/RFP data. I have a database of ~25,000 records in ~300 unique categories. I would like to be able to import new records into the report, have them ranked and sorted and be able to review. I have attached a very basic example. In the example, the attached would represent the current database. Then say I get a new proposal from provider XXX for the following: Lane 1001 Rate 992 Lane 1003 Rate 1500 I would like to be able to import the data from XXX into the database, have the program sort and analyze the bid and then display all of the data for only the Lanes that XXX provide data for. I live in a Excel world so I am very familiar with Excel. I could so something close to what I am looking for in Excel, but the amount of data and formulas I write tend to lock up my computer. If Excel is the best for this I am open to it, but if there is some other way to do it more efficiently I am open to that too. I'm not a huge Access fan, but again, if this is the best then I can work with it.
