We are a PPC company that spends far too much time generating reports for clients.
Currently, we have an Excel file with several tabs. We cut and past Google Adwords reports into specific tabs and then the final tab uses a series of pivot tables to generate a report. This is time consuming and we'd like to improve on this.
Right now, we want to use a Google API to pull the reports into Excel 2007. How this is accomplished is less important than the end result.
If you have experience in this area and can suggest a different option that perhaps you've already developed elsewhere and can modify, we are also interested in considering it.
The bottom line is we want to make PPC reports faster. Anything that helps accomplish this is on the table.
## Deliverables
We have many (more than 300) campaigns. The ability to log onto the PPC platform and use the API to download these is very important. We also have more than one client, so the solution needs to deal with multiple logins. One option would be a VBA script in Excel where the login parameters can be entered on the spread sheet, then the sheet gets the report directly. We use a different sheet for each campaign. We will also need to customize the report parameters over time. Another option would be a tool that gets reports, then loads them into the appropriate sheets (or saves them with unique names based on the campaign) Finally, although it is not a fixed requirement for this project, we would be interested in being able to use the tool for Bing reports, as well. We would be willing to pay extra for this if necessary. Yahoo s not necessary because it will use Bings reporting system by December of this year anyway. Please note that if you have a program already that has additional functionality, we would be interested in considering it, but the custom reporting feature is the main issue right now.
