Backend Production System

We are an art production company; you can see our existing website here: [[login to view URL]][1] We create customized art, provide proofs to clients, print the art & ship it ??" all in house. Each order is a little different from the next, but they all follow a logical pattern. Our back end system interprets data stored in a mySQL database by an x-cart shopping system & creates its own data. The back end independently functions from the front end store. We need a complete turnkey *back end* solution to replace our current system that will handle order progress, in-house work flow, report creation, and simple document merging. The front end will remain in tact but can be modified if necessary. You will be working with an experienced web developer, who will assist you with project from start to finish including testing and implementation. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. {We can provide the development server as it is necessary to work with pre-existing data structures} 2) The use of open source software is acceptable. The developer will not use code that is licensed or owned by another company. Any code produced by the developer should either be licensed under GNU or considered “work made for hire??. ## Platform Server Hardware: Intel P4 2.8ghz 845intel motherboard 2 gigs RAM 1 drive is an 80gig western digital drive (OS and Mail and has about 8gigs used.) 1 drive is a 250gig western digital drive (www and database stuff and has 13gigs used) 1 gigabit network card 1 CD Rom Server Operating Software: FreeBSD 4.8 PHP 4.3.4 mySQL12.22 Perl 5.6.1 Co-exiting software: x-cart professional 3.5.5 with modifications Workstations: Currently running Windows 2000 & FireFox or OS X & FireFox. Soon, the majority will switch to OS X & FireFox.
