cross-browser html and javascript fix needed

i have an html layout that contains two bugs/problems in some browsers: * popup menu is shown differently in several browsers. i need the popup items to be placed exactly horizontally below each main menu button and with 2px spacing between each subitem and between first subitem and main menu button. * on one page the whole layout "jumps" some pixels down in ie8 - maybe because of the long text? i need to have both issues fixed so that the layout looks exactly the same and so that all pages are shown at the same position in all important browsers (ie6, ie7, ie8, firefox, safari, chrome). all code needs to be valid xhtml strict. please see screenshots attached. you can find the url of the pages in the screenshots.? i can provide source files if needed, but i'd prefer if you first look through screenshots and html files to post a bid. if you need additional information, please let me know. thanks a lot. martin.
