I suggest to check them in multiple threads as it will be way faster. But you'll need VPS server to host this type of multi-threaded software (there are enough VPS servers for as low as $15-20/mo) Please clarify about "list 1" as it may be very hard to detect standard "placeholders". My primary language is Python - I use the scrapy and selenium libraries for these types of tasks to fake all types of web interactions and scrape content. You get the python scripts and detailed instructions on how to get up and running. I think the best output would be an html file that links to the websites for review.
