We’re looking for a developer who is well versed with many aspects of developing cutting-edge web applications.
As a software engineer at AuctionSpring, you'll be responsible for bringing the AuctionSpring vision to life. That means discovering, researching and implementing anything that moves us towards our vision, in collaboration with designers, product managers and the rest of AuctionSpring. This often takes the form of new product features, but also includes improvements to AuctionSpring backend systems, internal tools to give us insight into AuctionSpring ecosystem, engineering infrastructure to keep the team humming along, and anything else that feels like an exciting opportunity. In any case, as a software engineer, it always means managing complexity through thoughtful software design to ensure we can grow and scale our product without sacrificing development speed or quality.

-Ruby (via RVM, along with Ruby on Rails v4)
-Coffeescript and SASS when doing Rails development
-SQL (PostgreSQL & MySQL)
-Javascript / jQuery
-HTML5 & CSS3
-Responsive design (using Bootstrap v3)
-Git
Applicants will need:
-The ability to configure a VM that is nearly identical to our Linux servers for local development (Apache, PHP & APC,MySQL/PostgreSQL, etc.)
-To collaborate with your supervisor and other developers using [login to view URL] and other collaborate tools such as Wrike.
-You're excited about the code you write, and work hard to make it maintainable for your future self as well as your colleagues on the engineering team
-You are comfortable expressing yourself with written and verbal communication
