The coder will extend the functionality of an existing logging component by implementing the ICustomLogger interface which is attached. The coder will create a custom logger to log to a CSV File (Comma Seperated Value).
The CSV File will have these columns, Message, Log Time, Total Seconds, Log Level, Machine Name, User Name, Process Name, Additional. All this information is already being passed in the LogEntry object, you just need to write it out. For fields that have commas embedded in them, enclose the field in quotes. Replace CRLF in fields with a pipe character. Write out a header with the column names for the CSV file.
The Custom Logger will support log file rolling. Please add your Custom Logger Class to the attached WinForm demo so it can be tested. Add a custom logger checkbox to the demo.
See the help file under both ICustomLogger and the CustomLogger property in the Config section for an example of how to implement the ICustomLogger interface. Thanks for bidding.
