THE REQUIREMENT
·? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? We need a program that takes data from an analysis file and performs the required calculations, depending upon the claimed relationships between individuals (Paternity, Maternity, Sibling etc) before outputting the calculated data in a format.
·? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? It is to be developed for a network? which will have simple user id and password login screens followed by a couple of other screens? to? browse database files on the server to calculate.? The program then generates 2 files- a template and a report case(see attachments) which are populated with the test results(in MS WORD).
Our primary concern: rock-solid data integrity and intuitive control flow (UI)
## Deliverables
·? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? The program will have simple user id and password login screens followed by a couple of other screens which will help the user to…
1.? ? ? ? ? ? Add/ Delete persons for the test
2.? ? ? ? ? ? Select related Genemapper(analysis file see the attachment) file from the server(the user navigates to the file on the server), to run the test
3.? ? ? ? ? ? Select calculation type and set the other parameters for the test.
·? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? The screen changes according to the calculation type to enable the user to set the roles for the persons added to the test.
·? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? The program would then recognize the profiles of the individuals in the set roles and depending on the pattern of inheritance of the genes at each Loci (the table titled Paternity Calculations in the calculator requirements in attachment), use the correct formula in the calculation.? ? ?
1.? ? ? ? ? ? The output files do not need to be automatically printed out, but a print option is required as we will at some point need paper based printout of both these files.
2.? ? ? ? ? ? They need to be saved to folders on the server. They will potentially also be in different locations, so a user defined option may work best at this point? (with the user navigating to the location where they wish for the files to be saved)
3.? ? ? ? ? ? So each of these templates will have a “Print?? and “Save to “ buttons.
