Basic Concept You visit the site the shop and compare for a particular product - Televisions for example. Your major site navigation is on the left hand side seperated by attribute type (Brand, Model, Price Range, Other Attributes). As you click an attribute of Televisions (Size, price range, etc). your navigation changes with the new filter i.e. if you pick 'LCD' for televisions the only other filter criteria (Model, Brand, Price Range) you will see are for LCD tvs. In addition the list of products in the center of the screen (with thumbnails) will change - also via AJAX. At any point in time you can pick the last filter criteria, LCD for example, and navigate back up a level. Once you have navigated down and find a product you like clicking on the product will show you more detail on the current website. From that page if you click 'Show More Detail' or 'Buy Now' the link will take you to the vendors website in a new web browser via a special link. This navigation is very similair to what you see at [login to view URL] when shopping . ## Deliverables - The site will be based on integration of data from different vendors. The exact format of the outbound link will be different for the different vendors. The outbound clicks need to be tracked and logged for analysis later. Any outbound links will be opened as target="_blank" i.e. new window - Very AJAX Heavy - very few postbacks - Templating information about the main site focused in the [login to view URL] i.e. Website will be about televisions, or services, or cars, etc. Should take minimal effort to create another site using the same core code but marketed towards a different product line. Example: Instead of televisions the next site may be about Jewelry. Most of the code base should stay the same, and just certain [login to view URL] options should be able to be changed to make it a jewelry site. - All of the clicks must be logged and tracked with a date/time/session stamp and other information so comparison and analysis of navigation, consumer interests, etc. can be done at a later date. Example: In the future we will need to show most popular product, most popular brand, what other people looked at when they were looking at the current product, most popular time of day, etc. - All look and feel options should come from CSS - The user should have the choice as to the number of rows and columns shown when shopping. If more products are available than shown regular navigation should apply. Page up, Page down, First Page, Last Page, etc. - No eCommerce integration is needed i.e. the website will not be taking any payments - The user should be able to copy a certain URL to get to a certain page. Since there are no postbacks alternatively we will need to provide an 'Email this page' to a friend option. - The site will be based on SQL Server 2005 with an N-tier structure. Stored procedures are requested - no dynamic SQL. - The data will come from various vendors in various formats. A consolidated table format will have to be designed to handle all of the different types of data from different vendors. There will probably be no more than 10 vendors involved. - Google Analytics javascript should be integrated into the site. The exact google ID should come from the [login to view URL] - If the project is completed in a favorable manner the same developer will be used for upcoming site enhancements - Buyer must have complete access to the n-tier source code when the project is complete === 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform ASP.NET 2.0 n-tier object oriented SQL Server 2005
