I'm building an application for the Mac that requires the use of the AES encryption protocol (Rijndael). I have the original C source of the system, but implementing it has proven to be more than my skills can handle. The source requires that the user somehow implement a cipher and key instance. What I need is a simple method that accepts a file handle and the user's desired password (for encryption and decryption). This should be totally do-able in C, which I can then call from within my Obj-C application. The winning solution should be compilable on the Mac, and should include the source code (obviously). It should accept a binary file and password of arbitrary length, and encode using the AES CBC method using a 256 byte key. I'm attaching the complete C source -- the algorithm itself and the API. Both sets are public domain.
