Our aim is to payconsumers to visit different web sites and to track their movement throughthose sites.
We would like to tracktheir entire interaction with the site from the start to the finish so that wecan analyse it later to look for possible ExperienceEnhancement Opportunities.?
Within the interaction wewould like to know as much as possible, we would like to see the mousemovements across the screen, we would love to be able to capture audio as well(if there is any).
The people using thesystem will all have PC’s running windows XP and above with broad band internetconnections.? All the users willhave agreed to take part in the research and will be paid for doing so, as aresult we need to be able to audit who has completed the exercise and who hasnot.
There would seem to betwo ways of doing this.? Firstly,we could download a piece of “spyware?? onto their machine that records thetransaction and then emails the resulting recording back to a hub, after whichit uninstalls itself.? If I was auser this would worry me because I don’t know what the spyware is capturing inaddition to my experience.
Alternatively we couldget them to log on to some proxy server of remote terminal and get them toundertake the transaction on the remote server, but this might slow the processdown a lot and be frustrating.
We are looking for acompany to work with that can build a system that will allow us to allocateassignments to research candidates, track the interaction of those consumerswith the web sites and save the interactions.? Then allow us to go back and look at each sample andevaluate it.
At this initial phasewe do not need a precise quote.? Wewould like to have an idea from you as to how you would approach this exercise(what are the strengths and weaknesses of the approach you suggest), the roughdevelopment time that you think this would take and a rough ballpark as to thecost.
