I am looking to successfully split and display recommended products from my MS Access database.
I have a table of several products with the columns 'ItemNum', 'Title', 'Description' and 'Recommended'. Within the recommended field is a string of other product codes (ItemNums). For example 3456, 2345, 3467.
I have an asp page that displays all the relevant info from a querystring (i.e .[login to view URL]). But I need a piece? of code that can successfully seperate the string from the 'Recommended' field, find the product within the same database and display relevant info about it.
Ideally? like the following...
<a href="[login to view URL]<%=ItemNum%>"><img src="product-images/<%=ItemNum%>.jpg" border="0" alt="<%=Title%>"></a><br>
And then loop through until all the 'Recommended' products are used.
I know it's not ideal and probably a silly way to design the database but due to other factors this is the best we have to work with.
Any help would be much appreciated.
