I need a very simple report on internet access: (1) Apple script to run ping or equivalent. (2) Check once a minute for access to command specified web address. (3) Record on specified (with default) log file date and time of any change in status. Used to determine when and how long the web is not accessible.

I believe I can provide the required script, with the following features: 1- Config time interval. 2- Set output log file. 3- Add a list of websites/ips to check. The basic command to be used will be $ /sbin/ping -c $MAX_TRIES -i $INTERVAL >> $LOG_FILE
