We are in the production stage of our first game, which is sci-fi/space (Arcade – Shooter). It is 3D and the enemies (spaceships) are depicted using realistic graphics (not cartoony). The game will initially have 8 missions (10 levels per mission), and may be expanded with more missions in the future. The game is being developed using Unity 3D, and will be released for Android, iOS and the web.
We need all the UI elements for the game for a landscape orientation and in high definition:
- Shell menus with typical UI elements, and the following buttons (prefer icon but a general text button is OK if icon not possible)
* New game, play, play again, continue, resume, back, level list, options, achievements, stats, shop (shopping cart), leaderboard, OK, cancel, share, submit, submit score
* Social icons such as Facebook and Twitter
- In-game UI such as fire buttons (left, right plus auxiliary), fire button icons, weapon selection place holders as well as the relative weapon icons, health bars, level progress bar, ammo counter labels, etc. All progress bars to have appropriate icons (e.g. Base health, Shield health). The weapon icons must be in 2 sizes (in-game GUI + shop).
- Level list window where the player can select a mission (8 missions+) to see the levels played with the 3-star rating achieved, and the locked levels.
- Stats windows (Level, Mission, Game) with 3-star rating.
- Shop. Shop background, item background, and the following icons:
* Gold coin stack (icon also shown in stats)
* 8 icons for different sizes of “Uber coin” stacks
* 33 Premium upgrade icons for in-app purchase shop, plus 10 icons for higher upgrade levels based on some of the 33 main icons. These icons will depict weapons, energy/shield power, double XP etc. Additionally, 6 of these 33 icons will depict several stack sizes of Gold coins.
- 20 Rank icons with easily customizable color, so that more ranks can be added (same symbol, different color)
- 35 Achievement Award images. As these achievements will have several grades of attainment, they should be decorated in an incremental way to represent the different grades. Many achievements can currently go up to 7th grade, and more grades may be added in the future.
Icons should use symbols commonly used in the industry and easily recognizable by the players. In addition we have 3D models for all weapons used, so we can take snapshots that can be used for creating the icon art.
We attach a screenshot showing the in game layout that we have in mind. We created this screenshot using images we have readily available, in order to show the main elements and general layout, and these are not for indicating art concept, nor are they finished/balanced, or anything else.
We would like the GUI to look futuristic, simple and elegant, with dark shades (blue, possibly with metallic parts but not necessarily) and blending discreetly with the background without fancy frames or anything cartoony. All art should be delivered in png and psd formats.
