Freelancer.com.au Website Design for art site Information and notes for developers -- Business Notes -- Our business sells hand painted artworks from customers supplied pictures. Customers send us their photos with any requests for editing they may have, choose a size and style and we arrange for this to be painted by our established team of artists. Currently our business manages orders manually by phone and email. We are looking to create a website to streamline our orders and give us greater exposure, particularly to the UK and US markets. -- Development Requirements -- We require assistance from experienced web developers with excellent graphical skills to assist in building the website theme, function and process. Two example websites are to form the basis of the site, one focused on the graphical layout and aesthetics, the other as a reference for how the site and orders should function. We will also need the developers’ assistance in integrating the backend and payment platforms. The requirement for the freelancer is to develop the concept graphically and functionally and then build the site in full, including all coding and graphics as required. The final website must allow the pricing and gallery in particular to be easily updatable by the end user. Users must be able to upload photos from Facebook or Picasa in a simplified manner. An image resize and crop tool (possibly via AVAIRY SDK free plugin) is required as part of the order process which must integrate into the ordering process seamlessly. Users should be able to resize their uploaded images then press ‘confirm’ or something similar. We will then paint the confirmed picture. Understanding a lot of work is involved in the products, please note the following: PRODUCTS: Only one product is sold with 8 size options. Some secondary yes/no options are also available. The combined checklist gives the final cost which is then carried over to the checkout. We do not have 5000 products with 2 photos each plus text etc etc - a very strait forward setup. POSTAGE: Our product includes postage. No requirements for Magneto or other complicated backend to get this right. Only tax will need to be added at checkout. PAYMENT: We would like the payment process to be contained within the site rather than sent off-site to Paypal or similar. -- SEO Requirements -- The site should be optimised for a range of keywords supplied later such as “hand painted” and be planned with this in mind from the ground up. We would also like the developer to check which keywords our competitions sites are utilising. Note ongoing SEO is not part of the requirements for the site build however the site should be built in such a way to easily enable this later. -- Exemplar Websites -- The following websites are a good example of the kind of layout and style we are seeking.
