Hi, we have .txt files which include logs and some of the lines are like the below [login to view URL] [login to view URL] d0:23:db:49:a8:36 - [03/Jun/2012:16:48:24 +0100] "GET /[login to view URL] HTTP/1.1" 200 2556 "[login to view URL]" "Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_1_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9B206 Safari/7534.48.3" We would like to be able to run a macro program or similar in excel. Basically we paste the log file or reference the log file into excel or similar program, run a script and it finds all lines like the above and pulls out the data and details in an excel spreadsheet in the following columns DATE: TIME: URL: NAME: EMAIL: TELEPHONE: COMMENTS Attached is an example log file

Such jobs are my daily practice. I plan to complete the project via writing an Excel macro contained in a separate XLSM file. This approach makes further use of the macro very convenient by offering the usual Open file dialog or a Control form containing information necessary to identify the current input and output files. Further use of macros, fixing of bugs and minor changes are included in the bid without any additional fees. However, your example in the project description and the attached sample file are different, could you clarify this issue? Regards!
