**Bill of Materials - Multi-Level BOM Data Modelling and Product Costing **Flat or Single Level Bill of Materials ('Recipes') is easy to design. However BOMs which are multi-level are technically much more challenging. In simple terms, if we imagine a car- The car is made up of a body, the engine, the wheels, the car seats; at the next lower component level, the body is made up of the front bonnet, side panels, etc. And the engine is made up of multiple components, and so on. We can visualise that a car can be made up of parts/components which are hierarchical in nature- perhaps, in the case of the car, exceeding more than 10 levels of components. Expressions of interest are sought from experienced professionals to design a robust data model/structure that would enable multi-level Bill of Materials, including extending the model to provide Product Costing, and basic Manufacturing Planning functionality. For reference, the multi-level BOM functionality should mirror the basic modality of SAP multi-level BOM functionality.
