Autofill forms

I have many documents in Microsoft Word that I have to type information in many places on the same document as well as other accompanying documents. I need to have all of these documents 'fixed' so that there is some sort of form that I fill in the blanks and then that info is placed in the correct blanks in all of the documents at one time. I do not know what type of skill is needed, but think it might be Visual Basic
