$25-50 USD / hour

This small project requires very basic wireless control function of a small rc servo. The project requires a single button transmitter with battery power supply to communicate with a base station that controls the RC servo. Range of the transmitter will be 10M. Basically it is a repackaging of an rc car control system on a single servo. This project needs to have consideration for production. Will need a working prototype built as part of this project. Transmitter: Compact battery powered control of base station. Single button on transmitter to control servo. Button needs to be able to control the servo like a throttle. Wake up transmitter when button pushed. Sleep timer 2 min after activation Wireless communications cannot interfere with 457 kHz systems. Transmitter pairing to base station needs to be simple. Transmitter may need to be replaced so simple paring in critical. 10Meter wireless range. Ideally transmitter should not require battery charging or replacement for 2 years. Base station: Toggle switch to power up base station from 12V power supply. Beeping signal to indicate system powered up. 10 sec interval Receives signal from transmitter to control RC servo Approx 30 Degrees of position used on servo. 10 meter communication with transmitter. When communication fails system should detect loss of transmitter and power off the base station until the system power has been cycled on/off Via toggle switch Servo fail close to original start position Base station should have ability to adjust the trim on the servo. Compact size is desired, will need considerations for vibration and the elements. Ideally product would have temp rating to - 30 Degrees. Thanks

Hello, electronic engineer with over 15years experience available. you can check my work on my web sites / see portfolio i can design your wireless RC control. do you need a secure wireless link ? i will provide full RoHS / CE working prototype. but be aware, i'm not sure that RC servo are the best solution if there is vibration ..? i can help you later on mass production with my Chinese manufacturer. may be you speak French too ? best regards Phil

I would use a 433MHz or 915MHz wireless transmitter and receiver, the ones used for keyless entry. Than I would use a small 8 bits microcontroller (8051, z8, PIC, lots of options there) for both. The design process will be as follows: 1. Selecting the components 2. Creating eagle libraries 3. Creating the schematics for both boards 4. Review and approval --- milestone 1 --- one week from start op project 5. Creating the components footprint in Eagle 6. Creating components placement for both boards 7. review and approval --- milestone 2 --- 2 weeks from start of project 8. full 2 layers PCB boards layout 9. Preparing all files for PCB manufacturing 10. review and approval --- milestone 3 --- 3 weeks from start of project 11. ordering parts and PCBs 12. Boards assembly 13. Writing base and remote microcontrollers firmware 14. System bring up --- milestone 4 --- 5 weeks from start of project total estimated hours for the project 50 hours Notes: 1. depending on the application, you might want to consider an "off the shelf" transmitter with two buttons (like car alarm transmitter) 2. The requirement for failure in case of loss of transmitter conflicts with the requirement of turning the transmitter on only in a press of a button. We can discuss those notes and more comment if and when you will select me as the provider. I appreciate the opportunity to bit on this project. It sure looks like an interesting project to work on. Thank you Zohar Golan

Hi, Have a Great Day. I can help you. The remote cotrol is already available in market. You can use 4 channels (4 commands ) to relay the output. We can also modify that for our purpose. As far as servo is concerned we need to control it thru AVR microcontroller for precise movement. I will integrate RF transceiver with AVR microcontroller to make a prototype. Power supply will be provided thru battery (for base station). Remote control requires very little power and battery ( a small cell just like TV remote control cell) will last for atleast 1 year. Please feel free to contact. Best Regards, Shahbaz.

hi, i am an electrical engineer and i can make this project according to your requirements. i have also worked on wireless communications between microcontrollers. Your project requires a simple point to point wireless communication between to controllers in which one will act as transmitter and other as a receiver and your rc servo will be interfaced on receiver side. for wireless data transmission you can use a xbee (series 1) module which consumes low amount of power and has approx. 30m indoor range, also it has addressing mode by which communication becomes secure. in case of loss of communication or loss of transmitter signal the receiver controller will go into the sleep mode. for further details please contact me. Thanks, Rizwan
