$750-1500 USD

Paid on delivery
I have mined colleges and university websites in eleven States to capture relevant e-mail addresses for Biology professors, Nursing professors and Public Health professors, who represent my target audience for my educational documentary film entitled Unseen Enemies (see [login to view URL]). I am looking for someone to data mine the remaining 41 States. Now that I have experience navigating university websites, I can capture anywhere from 250-400 e-mail addresses an hour. I believe there is approximately 24,000 remaining addresses to be captured, and I'm looking to pay $10 per 200 e-mail addresses delivered, for a total payout of approximately $1,200.00-$1,500.00 USD. Here's my basic instructions if you would like to check out the job: Instructions: 1. Open a browser and enter: [login to view URL] 2. Open your Excel (or Bento) spreadsheet entitled “FFE Capture Log.” (I will deliver this document to the winner) 3. Turn on your favorite Pandora station to keep you company. 4. I’ve completed the first 11 States, so scroll down to Maryland and pick up from there. 5. On your Excel “FFE Capture Log,” type in the name of the school under the column entitled “Institution Name.” 6. Click on the first school and look around for the hot button that says “Academics,” or “Programs & Colleges.” Ideally what you are looking for is a list of majors. Sometimes you have to click on additional links, such as “Undergraduate Studies.” Once you see the list, first click on “Biology.” 7. If the link does not take you to the Biology Department home page, then you will need to do some further searching about, but once you’re in, 9 out of 10 times you will see another link that says “Meet Our Faculty,” or simply “Faculty.” Click on this and you will go to the faculty directory. Again, 9 out of 10 times there will be hot links to each professor’s e-mail address, which usually has a line under the e-mail address. If you hover your curser over the e-mail address and hold down the ‘Control’ key, you will see a drop down menu of choices. Click copy address. If the e-mail address is not hot linked you will have to highlight the full address, then hit “Command + C” to copy the address. 10. Place your thumb on the ‘Command’ button, then your index finger on tab and toggle over to your Excel “FFE Capture Log.” Place your curser in the next open space under the column entitled “E-mail Addresses,” and hit “Command + V.” Note: You’re trying to capture e-mail addresses for Assistant Professors, Adjunct Professors, Full Professors, Lecturers, Instructors and the like. What you don’t want to capture is Emeritus Professors, Administrative Assistants and Lab Coordinators. 11. Once you’ve grabbed all the names, moving on to the Nursing Department and do the same. Many schools don’t have Nursing Departments, so if you don’t see one, it’s time to move to the next institution. Before leaving, check to see if the school has a Department of Public Health, which you will most likely only find in the larger schools. If so, go in and grab the e-mail addresses. Please note the schools and Public Health Departments that I have already captured on the sheet entitled “Public Health.” 12. After the last e-mail address is captured in any given school, tally up the final number of e-address captured and enter it to the right of the last e-address, in the column entitled “Count.” Additional notes: As you’re visiting a new school website, keep in mind that not all schools listed here are real candidates for finding valid e-mail addresses. Many ‘for profit’ schools may not even offer the full range of programs of a conventional college or university, so take a look and if you don’t see Biology or Nursing, then close down the page and move on to the next one. Lastly, any school that is listed as a ‘Seminary” or an “Art” school you don’t even have to open.
