I need help getting a couple of parts designed in cad. I have some basic sketches on hand to give you an idea but I feel they might be better designed.
Basically I have a 40mm outer diameter tube (main body) which will have some leds and other electronics in it. I then need to have a removable attachment system on top (2) that can pass 5v and a data wire to the attachment (1)
The attachment (1) will be the base for different things to go on top depending on designs.
Now my main issue is, I'm currently boot strapping my way through building this. So I may have to create a number of these myself through molding and vac casting. So I need them to be simple enough for me to make, I'm okay with a challenge. But I need them to be designed in such a way that they can scale without modifications if and when I go to full production.
There may be better ways of attaching this without moving, perhaps a twist on coupling method. Not sure, let me know what you think.
This is a copy paste, I will need to update some details and have other parts needed but this is close enough to get an idea going. Will discuss further any necessary changes.
