Create list of English word synonym pairs (e.g. big - huge)

For this project, I will need somebody with a high level of English comprehension. Native English speakers or highly educated applicants only, please.
If I can get 1000 word pairs that fit my criteria, I will pay $50 USD.
I need a list of pairs of English words that are synonyms to each other (they have the same meaning).
Here are three example synonym pairs:
-- big / huge
-- angry / furious
-- variable / irregular
TASK:
Think of a word, enter it in a thesaurus like [url removed, login to view], find a synonym that is at about the same "difficulty level" as the word, and enter both words in a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet format is single column: Word One in first row, Word Two in second row, then four blank rows, then the next Word One, etc. I estimate that a reasonably intelligent and motivated worker could create at least 150 of these word pairs in an hour (which means the task will take about 6.6 hours to complete, making the hourly wage about $7.5/hour). It's easiest to find an online database of words (for example [url removed, login to view] , which contains difficult words and their synonyms) and just find words there.
CRITERIA:
1) Words should cover a broad span of word difficulties. That means there should be some easy words, some intermediate words, and some difficult words, in roughly equal proportion. For example, "big - huge" is easy; "furious / angry" is intermediate; "variable / irregular" is hard.
2) Words MUST be appropriate synonyms. If I ask you "does big mean huge?", you should be able to say yes.
3) Format must be correct.
Before assigning this project, I will request a sample list of thirty word pairs. If your list meets my criteria, I will assign the thousand words to you for $50 USD.
