The goal is to complete a Final Year Project (FYP) focused on the design and optimization of a low-speed UAV tailored for cloud seeding. The project involves: - Using OpenVSP for wing planform area optimization. - Comparing airfoil shapes through published works, particularly at low Reynolds numbers, using tools like XFLR5. - Applying theoretical knowledge in aerodynamics and aircraft design to develop an optimized UAV design. - Deliverables include data validation on VSPAero and XFLR5, as well as performance evaluation focusing on airfoil selection and wing design. The interim report will be shared to serve as a foundation for this work.
