We have a two month old ecommerce site on a dedicated server operated by OVH in Montreal, Canada. We have recently hit traffic heights which have resulted in site crashes. The indications: - 'max_user_connections' active connections - TOO_MANY_USER_CONNECTIONS - MySQL server has gone away We have increased the connections number and done whatever we can to resolve the problem. We are now on an SMS alarm system which alerts us to site crash and we reboot the server to get it back working, but this is only a very temporary stopgap measure. We have a marketing program which is on hold until we can determine how to resolve this problem definitively as we could be seeing traffic levels 10x or more greater than the ones which have already brought down the site. yesterday my server ( VPS ) has gone automatically ( Due to some hackers activity ) in the RESCUE MODE. so i contacted the server guy . they are saying I have to backup the data on the local first using the ftp client like filezilla Then to reinstall the server. form my ovh account manager. then upload all the data again . but i am not able to do this because , i am not that tech savvy so , I downloaded the file zilla but not able to connect to the site. need help to do this all tasks , please help me.

I try to create a emergency routine (manual) to be able to restore physical machines from R1Soft CDP backup to a virtual machine (proxmox kvm). Im only on a test-stage rigth now. I'm able to restore all partitions on both Windows and Linux inside the vm (including hidden partition), along with all files. Linux-vm boot up (after changing boot-drive record to boot from hd0,0 instead of hd1,0 in grub). Howerver, Windows never boots and I don't know how I can work around it like on Linux. I have run some diagnose tools that prints out drives, mounts etc from the Windows vm-hosts and it shows partitions and things looks ok, with a boot-partition and boot-flag in partition-manager. I have put the netblock and the server inside the vRack, then i have followed the configuration of OVH guide to assign an IP address to a VM by static configuration.
