this image developed using Adobe Flex. If you the user have Flash plugin 10+ then the upload icon will be a flash icon. If you don't have the flash plugin, then you see the same icon but it's not flash. Everything looks the same to the user. If you don't have the flash plugin you will see a message to get it. The only purpose for the flash app is to resize the image. The actual upload for both the Flash and HTML versions is handled via Ajax in jQuery. Needless to say image uploads are a snap when the images are resized. The flash app takes flashvars from javascript so you can pass in javascript callback functions and set resize variables such as max width and height. I tested with a 22MB PNG and it resized fine. About 5 years ago I had somebody start building a windows application using Adobe Flex 3. Since then the programmer has left us and our application isn't finished. I have an Adobe Air based Android app that is published. The programmer did a nice job on it but can't continue with the next phase of the project. So I need someone who can continue on with improvements and feature additions. The app logs in and stream records video from android to a Wowsa video server. The first and most important feature I need added is this. Check user's storage space on server and restrict recording accordingly. Recordings are saved to private space by defalut and each user gets a finite amount of space. If that space is exceeded then recordings need to be saved as "public". After that we can look at expanding the android control panel to allow for account manipulation o the phone. For now all user administration is web based.
