I need a WordPress developer to update my WordPress plugin to make sure all its functionality works on the latest version of WordPress. Plugin located at: BuddyPress/BBPress support was removed in THIS commit: I need it to be working for the latest versions of these plugins.

I am creating a wordpress website which uses the bbpress forum so that registered users could post new topics with an attachment (educational materials for schools). I have some basic web development knowledge, but not enough for my need: what I need help with is creating filters for those topics submitted by the users, so if someone looks at the forum they could filter to 5 different categories (Grade, Subject, Topic, Language, Price Range) and see any topics that were created with those categories. I thought of using Tags to create these filters, because I can list the tags by their tag_ID in a side bar, but the biggest challange for me is how to add the Tag selection to the new Topic form (a fix list of Tags), so that the users would have to select the Tags and not type them. ...
