We use a database in our HR system for employees to request Paid Time Off (PTO). We would like to take the employee's name, pto date and description of PTO and have it populate a public folder calendar by creating, updating or deleting a calendar entry based off the SQL database.

My thoughts would be a trigger.. new record creates calendar event. Change of PTO hours requested would change PTO description. (Currently employees can request Unpaid time, 4 hours time or 8 hours time so the description of the PTO would be JANE DOE - 4 HOURS or if changed JANE DOE - 8 hours and the calendar date/time would just be an all day event). FInally if the PTO is canceled then the calendar entry it removed.

Right now to track the information is just a SSRS report.

Thanks for looking and your proposal. Will consider budget and experience, also willing to work with freelancer if project goes off track a bit. Willing to pay 20% at beginning and 80% at completion.
