Imagine 27 kids show up to play in a 4 v 4 soccer tournament. The goal of the tournament is to randomly generate the appropriate number of teams from the list of players. After the first game the results are entered and every player on each team gets those points. For round 2 of games, the players are again randomly grouped into teams but "balanced" according to their individual point total. Repeat the process for however many rounds in the tournament with a running total for each individual player kept. See [login to view URL] --> MonsterDYP for inspiration. In an ideal world we can set team size, seed players at the start, add or delete players mid-tournament.
