We do have a PHP script that reads a mysql tabel and for each row in the table:
- reads a filename (image), gets the image and stores the image on our server in two different formats
- updates another table with some fields
The script has to process approx 32000 rows which is causing problems.
With a small file, script is working ok.
We want you to rewrite the script in such a way that it processes the table in blocks of x rows (x to be specified in script), and in such a way that we do not get browser/server time-outs.
We also want the script to display some status information (processing x of y rows).
And we want you to add error message(s) if script was unable to write files correctly.
