Modify a Wordpress Theme

I bought a Wordpress theme called Travelo. In that theme, you can book hotels or tours. But I want to simplify it and be able to search and list team building events but without choosing a specific date. So it is more of searching and listing based on different filters. Later on, in the booking form the clients should be able to add the date he wants to book that event together with other details (indoor or outdoor, half or full-day, number of participants, etc). So basically, I would need to remove all the unnecessary fields then add new fields on my search form, add new fields on my booking form and of course create those fields in the existing database. I don't need any help in the style of the theme. All those modifications should be done in the child theme.
This is it for the first phase of the project. I will need to add another module in the near future.
