This should work with slack.
I think you need to create slack API that allows you to type command in slack and do function.
We need to create a Attendance app in slack, this will either create a channel or use the app. When we type in "In" or "out" it should then register it on website as clock-in or clock-out.
When you clock in, it should count the hours/minutes you're working.
Keep the clock running and when they clock out it should record the data for how many hours/minutes they worked. For example I clock in at 9:00am and clock out at 5pm, it will count how many hours i worked and record this data in database for that day. Keep track of every day. If someone didn't clock in on a day then show it as 0.
