Wordpress Plugin Modification

I have the Gocodes plugin for Wordpress, which redirects my urls.

So e.g I can create a link called link1 and ask it to redirect to:

[url removed, login to view]

so in my browser, I put the url:

[url removed, login to view] and it will goto [url removed, login to view]

What I'd like is for the redirect to pick up a variable i.e

[url removed, login to view]<?php echo $var ?>

If picks up ok as a link in a normal post, but when I put [url removed, login to view]<?php echo $var ?> in the gocodes plugin, and then browse to [url removed, login to view], it redirect to

[url removed, login to view]<?php echo $var ?>

and not e.g

[url removed, login to view]
